It is with sadness that I learn the passing of Veronica or Verg as we used to call her when I worked with her. I had the privilege of working with Veronica at the RBC Ituna 1984-1988. I have many fond memories mostly work related. From the times that we had to decorate the bank for various events - one of which I remember Veronica assembling an old kitchen in the bank as a display of some sort, to the several receptions - informal and not so informal downstairs in the bank. I always enjoyed her stories of her world travels and marvelled at all the places she visited. My friends would come to visit and chastise me about the Lincoln car always parked alongside the branch, thinking that it was mine. Nope, wasn't mine, but was Veronicas. I can still picture her today driving that town car with a gleam of satisfaction while sitting behind the wheel. Her artistic talents were captured in the magnificent artistry of Ukrainian easter eggs. In fact I bought a few of them and gave some to my mom. Every easter they are on display and we think of Veronica as her eggs definitely stand out from the rest of the eggs. She truly was gifted. Veronica, while our paths have not crossed to any extent since I left Ituna, I always enjoyed the time working alongside of you. My sympathies to all and Verg - may you now rest in peace. LT
