Obituary of Carl Matthew Wallebeck

Carl Matthew Wallebeck, beloved son of Craig and Susan Wallebeck passed away on Saturday, February 9th 2019. He was 34 years of age. A Memorial Service to celebrate Carl's life will be held on Saturday, February 16 at 1:30pm from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre. Carl Matthew Wallebeck was born on May 6th, 1984 in Calgary, Alberta; a son of Craig and Susan (nee Harrop) Wallebeck. With his parents, and the addition of his younger brother Will, he lived in several communities in Canada, including High River, AB, Prince Albert, SK, Thunder Bay, ON, and Regina, where he spent most of his adult life. Three years ago he moved to Yorkton. Carl was a highly intelligent individual, he enjoyed music of all genres, fantasy novels and movies. Carl was also an excellent gamer, and his knowledge of systems and gaming was encyclopedic. He was at one point especially fond of "World of Watercarft", and went on several raids with his friends. They would get together with others in WoW to from PUG's, or pick-up-groups, for raids. Quite often, the PUG members would complain that Carl and his friends were going too fast. The reply was "The train don't slow down for no one". Another game he enjoyed was "Minecraft", and would often take part in tournaments to raise funds for charity. He also had a You-Tube channel, where he would discuss video gaming and rate games he'd played. Carl was a fierce, passionate friend and brother, who always "had your back", and was a passionate son who would do almost anything for his parents. His employment history included two positions he fully enjoyed. One was CGI Industries in Regina, where he was a supervisor for the IT company who helped get the City of Calgary's 911 system restored during the flood of 2013. His second was Value Village in Yorkton, which he said was the most positive experience in his professional life. Carl truly cared about his team. To say Carl will be greatly missed is an understatement. Service Details.
