Obituary of Annie Koback
Annie Koback was born August 8th 1932 in the Jasmin district of Saskatchewan; the third child of Hilko and Rosilia Melnyk. Annie was raised on the farm and attended St. Joseph's School. In 1952 she met Fred Koback and they married later that fall. They had three sons: Larry, Edward and David and lived in the Horse Lake District. In 1962 they bought land near Ituna to be closer to school. Annie's health began to fail, and she developed Alzheimer's. She lived at the Ituna Pioneer Lodge until her passing on Thursday, April 11, 2019. She was 86 years of age. Predeceased by her husband Fred on September 13, 2014; and infant brother Vladimer; a brother Mike; and her parents Hilko and Rosilia Melnyk. Annie is survived by her sons: Larry (Brenda) of Regina, Edward (Susan) of Pense, and David (Jeanne) of Emerald Park. Six grandchildren: Barrett & Byran, Taylor & Shelby, Amanda & Megan. Also two great grandchildren: Piper and Emmett; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. The Requiem Divine Liturgy was celebrated on Tuesday, April 16th 2019 from Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church in Ituna with Bishop Michael Wiwchar C.Ss.R. as celebrant. Cantors Wayne Boczulak and Ladmer Moskal led in the responses. The Epistle-reader was Taylor Koback, the crossbearer was Shelby Koback. The interment followed in the Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery with sons and grandsons Larry, Edward, David, Taylor, Barrett & Bryan serving as the casketbearers Service Details.
