I worked with Taz in Peace River, Alberta . I also hung out with him on Friday and Saturday nights . I will always remember the good times at the “Travellers Motor Hotel” and the “Northern” . We shared quite a few experiences together. Sorry to hear of his passing, Taz was a great guy. RIP my friend, and I will see you again.

My condolences to the Uhll family. My family (George Friesen son of Isaac Friesen) and Ernie Uhll go way way back as close family friends. Ernie lent his car to my dad to get his drivers license. My dad and Ernie were very close and so was Taz mom close family friend. Taz the son of Ernie was the most positive person you could ever meet, I learned lots from you Taz and I know your positive outlook in life will help me one day, thank you Taz. Taz also knew my dad very very well and told me old family stories in the early Melville days, very precious memories. Taz also told me the story how he was at a BBQ at David Suzuki's place and Jerry Doucette was there writing the song Mamma Let Him Play, this was before anybody ever heard this song as he was just finishing it and sang it to Taz at the BBQ. Taz you were amazing, gone too soon and will be always missed, thank you for our laughs and chats and stories, miss you Taz but will not forget you.

My sincere condolences to all of Taz's family in the recent passing of Duane. I'm so sorry for your loss! I admired Taz for his positive attitude & always wanting to share a story with people. Taz was a very close friend with my brother, Brad Shaw. They shared many happy times together. Taz will be missed by alot of people. Rest in peace now, no more suffering.
