Obituary of Michael "Mike" Molnar

The family of Michael Joseph Molnar of Yorkton is saddened to announce his passing on November 1, 2020 at the young age of 60 after a yearlong battle with lung cancer. Mike was born in Yorkton on May 13,1960 to Henry and Theresa Molnar. Mike started his own roofing company Mike Molnar Roofing which he successfully ran until his passing. His success in roofing was due to his genuine care for his customers. In 1978 Mike and the love of his life Sandy welcomed their first child Shawn. They married in 1983 and together welcomed three more children, Ryan, Kristopher and Brittney. Mike was a devoted father, and was always there to help with anything his children needed. He always had the right answer and knew how to fix the problem no matter what it was. He always had what his children needed whether it was a grocery item, a tool or part, which gave his home the name of Molnar Mart. His greatest joy in life was his family, and becoming a papa to his nine beautiful grandchildren Kayden, Mikayla, Jaxon, Lexa, Kendall, Maverick, Mila, Knox and Londyn. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He enjoyed many good times at the family cabin at Burgis Beach, and numerous family vacations to his favorite destination Jamaica, making many memories that his family will cherish forever. Mike was known for his sense of humor and silly grins. He loved good company, and if he was not working he spent most of his time driving around town finding the best deals and visiting friends, especially his McMunn and Yates family. Mike with be lovingly remembered by his wife of 37 years, Sandy; sons, Shawn (Cindy), Ryan (Marlee), Kris (Mel), daughter Brittney (Simon); siblings, Gerard, Etta (Dave), Carm, Nick, Allan (Kaili), Chris (Suzie); sister-in-law, Deb (Andreas); brother-in-law, Bill (Colleen); sister-in-law, Jan. He will also be dearly missed by his nine grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends that he has left a lasting impression on. Mike is predeceased by his parents Henry and Theresa; brother, Jerome; mother-in-law, Ruth, father-in-law, William; brother-in-law's, Gary and Pete. To respect Mike's wishes, no funeral service will be held. A family celebration will be held at a later date. Service Details.
