We all loved Uncle Art. Our family sends our live to you dear Aunt Maryann, Peter, Blaise, Kathy, Aaron, and Andrew. As a kid I remember him having some very stylish golf outfits, and was even there to witness him hit a hole-in-one at a Korte Cup in Humboldt... Just too bad he was hitting 3 of the tee after the first one went in the bush. The last few conversations... we had such good chats about politics, and Art even made sure to call me so we could celebrate when a certain party finally won a federal election. He always had such interesting things to talk about - a gift that I know his kids have inherited...and I'm sure he was proud of that too. Great man. He will be dearly missed.

Sympathy to the Scherr family of the loss of Art. I had many enjoyable conversations of 'certain topics' with him at the Library. He was such eclectic reader, it was always a joy to find a new biography or history book that he would enjoy!!! A kind and compassionate man who will be missed by all.

We first met MaryAnn and Art when their son Blaise married our daughter Leanna in May 1998. We felt a a connection right away and would have become good friends if we had lived closer. Sask. to Nova Scotia is quite a distance. We met a few times since then and always felt the same connection. Art, may you Rest In Peace, free from pain. MaryAnn, it will be difficult moving onwards but you have a very loving family who will always be there for you. And know for certain that Art has gone to a higher calling. With our fondest memories, Bob and Dee Hart
