Betty, with her "Yes!" response to life, along with Gerald, happily cared for seven of our children for about a week- the youngest around two. Needless to say, we came home to a happy, well-fed family and spotless home! There had been practice driving with a sixteen year old and even an expedition to the circus! I remember Betty, as Rhonda, with her sparkling beautiful eyes, interest, laughter, a woman who, with a zest, took on life! We send our love to all of you who will miss her so dearly. Following are comments from three of our daughters with whom Betty and Gerald spent that week: I remember loving Betty because she was effortlessly beautiful, confident, and nothing seemed impossible around her. I loved her! -Erin Betty had a simple elegance and you felt like something really fun might happen around her at any moment. I remember her improvising a soup by finding things in the fridge, looking at them and going... hmm, this will go well in here. It changed the way I make soup to this day ;) - Megan I'm glad she's no longer suffering...I'll always remember the time she and I went grocery shopping together; she showed me how she made it fun by picking up food items she'd never seen before and reading the labels to learn what they were. - Adrienne Melodie Winter
