Obituary of Peter Ruzyski

Peter Ruzyski, longtime Ituna resident passed away on Sunday, January 31st 2021 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. He was 87 years of age. Peter was born in Ituna, Saskatchewan on July 18, 1933 to Tony & Pearl Ruzyski. He was a farmer at heart, an undertaking he enjoyed until his retirement. In his younger days he loved to dance and was known as a great dancer, he loved to play cards and Bingo was also a favorite. He so looked forward to his yearly visits, with Mary's son Bob, how much fun they had! Peter always loved company and enjoyed making delicious meals for them, he enjoyed his telephone conversations with family and friends, reading his Ituna News and looked forward to his daily walks to the coffee shop. Peter was a very proud man as you could tell by his beautifully manicured yard, always flowers blooming, a garden seeded and a beautifully cut luscious lawn. Not to forget, he had a very big heart and was an excellent caregiver to his mom for years. A highlight in September of 2019 was when he was reunited with his sister Mary and brother Steve, unknown to any of us that it would be for the last time…..they all shared the same enjoyment and it was wonderful to see. Peter was preceded in death by his parents Tony & Pearl Ruzyski; brothers John, Mike and Tom Ruzyski; three sisters Jean (Nick) Michalchuk, Pauline (Stefan) Zurakowsky and Mary (Nicholas) Woloszyn. He is survived by his brother Steve Ruzyski; nephews Robert Woloszyn (Jo-Ann), Ron Wolosyn (Angela), Bob Michalchuk (Helen), Stephen Zurakowsky (Anne Marie) and one niece Annie Zurakowsky (Bruce Bonaney) as well as the special Kolody Family "Olga, Marcella, Terry, Darlene (Chad Krikau) and Shelley" whom were very close to his heart. Cremation has taken place, internment will follow at the Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery, Ituna, Saskatchewan at a later date. Service Details.
