Growing up in the Calder area Tony was our sports role model. Years later I had the opportunity to play ball against him. I took my usual position in left field. Our coach motioned for me to play deeper. I backed up. The coach waved me back farther - way too far in my opinion. Tony swung at the first pitch and I watched the ball sail over my head. A good ball player and an all around good guy. Condolences to the family.

Sending Blessings to all of Tony's family. My earliest memories of my growing up years in Calder include Tony behind the counter at the general store. Having grown up in such a tiny community it was not unusual that a child four years of age might show up to pick up an item for the family. Tony was always friendly and patient, as he helped wrap up that bologna in the special brown paper and tie it up with the string that pulled down from the large cone. I realize now how indulgent he and his father were in allowing me to sit and read comic books and other various magazines in the corner of the store. I was happily surprised to see Tony still part of the grocery store when I stopped in approximately 20 years ago. I was particularly pleased that he wondered if I was one of the twins....(they are 6 years younger than me)! Yes Tony will be well remembered by the community of Calder, and all who lived there. May the memories of love and the life you shared keep him alive forever in your heart

Together with all of Tony's family, we mourn his passing and wish to express sincere sympathy. I have fond memories of Tony, as would Peter. Tony was to be a best man at our wedding, but a softball fence wrecked his foot. Twice he visited us in Phoenix and each time, Peter and he would fly to Las Vegas for a weekend. Tony wasted no time sleeping in Vegas but he would catch-up when they returned. I recall Tony and I shopping for take-home presents at Target. In 2015, Peter and I visited with Tony in Yorkton. His gift of friendship is cherished and what I will always remember. Thanks for the memories, Tony.

So sorry to hear of Tony's passing. Didn't know you for long but I will cherish the small time I was fortunate to know you. Enjoyed the times of talking Dodger baseball with you over a cup of coffee at 'The Dub'. Rest well! Brad
