Obituary of Shelley Christine Peepeetch

The family of Shelley Peepeetch, of Valemount, BC., beloved wife of Brian Brown sadly announce her passing on December 17, 2022. She was 61 years of age. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of my mother Shelley Christine Peepeetch. Born to Christina Yvonne Peepeetch and Russell Rabbitskin, she was the second youngest of five siblings; Frances Peepeetch, Ryan Peepeetch, Carol Peepeetch and Neil Peepeetch, all who predecease her. Shelley leaves behind a son, Shane Peepeetch, of Norquay, SK., two adopted sons, Joshua Peepeetch, of Regina, SK and Gregory Peepeetch of Vancouver, BC., and a nephew Kevin Peepeetch, of Regina, SK. She now leaves us to join her daughter Kelly Peepeetch in the afterlife. In describing Shelley, many words come to mind such as kind, brave, and intelligent. Her sense of humor was only matched by a desire for continued self-improvement. She possessed great artistic abilities and relished poetry. Mainly, Shelley was a fighter. She fought for independence as well as her religion. As a lifelong asthmatic, she fought daily to maintain a daily existence as her lungs eventually betrayed her. In the end, she fought for peace and lived out her days with her soulmate Brian Brown of Valemount, BC. Shelley lived her life with strong religious standards and will be able to finally rest in paradise. Shelley will be missed by those close to her. The Wake began on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from the Prairie Harvest Community Centre, Yorkton, Saskatchewan. The Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 from the Prairie Harvest Community Centre with Pastor Tania Favel officiating. The casketbearers were Brian Brown, Gregory Peepeetch, Shane Peepeetch, Kevin Peepeetch, Joshua Peepeetch and Jeremy Southwind. Cremation followed and the inurnment took place in Little Bone Cemetery. Service Details.
