Jerry and I became fast friends when we met in Miss Baldwin's grade I class at Simpson school, a close friendship that endured all of our public schooling. Lionel Coleman, and sometimes one or two others, spent countless hours together being "kids" until Jerry's unique hockey skills took him to a different milleau. In today's world he would have been a professional hockey player at the highest level. Time passed quickly, and in 2005/6, at Jerry's suggestion, he, Lionel and I, together with some others, organized a 1956 YCI Grade XII class reunion in Yorkton. This was a most successful project that brought the 3 of us closer than we had been for so many years and presented an opportunity to revisit so many unforgettable times. I could go on and on, but let me close with a heartfelt message of assurance for Jerry's family and all of his friends that his memory will never be forgotten..

October 31, 1938 - March 25, 2021 Obituary Tributes Leave a Condolence Barry Wershler jbwersh@gmail.com My condolences on the passing of Jerry. Our family lived on Melrose Ave., kitty corner from Simpson School, and a stone's throw from the Bulitz residence. Jerrry, my brother and I spent endless hours as boys playing shinny, hockey and baseball at Simpson School along with various other activities that kids do in a small city. Jerry had elite athletic skills and it was not surprising he did well in his later participation in organized sports. Although I had seen Jerry only infrequently over the years, I know he was well liked and those who were fortunate enough to be his friend were lucky. He will be missed by so many. May he rest in peace and his memory be a blessing. Sincerely, Barry Wershler Calgary, Ab.

I knew Jerry for over 45 years. We first met through our connection within the electrical business, and then we reconnected 35 years ago when I moved to Yorkton and joined the Kinsmen Club. I will remember Jerry as a gentleman, and a guy that enjoyed a good laugh. I have not seen him since 2001 when I left Yorkton, but I am sure that many other people will miss that laughter and friendship. Sincere condolences to his many friends and family members. With respect for a life well lived. Ken Pilon
