Al will forever be in our hearts. It was a pleasure to be your neighbour at Crooked Lake all those years. We remember the stories he told around the camp fire. The early morning golf games. And we definitely had to step it up to match the care he took in his grass and trees. There were a few friendly games of dice over each summer. But the best is the Jackfish patty recipe he shared which is still one of our family favourites. Love you Al. Our prayers to Mary and family.

Dear Mary and family: We were saddened to hear of Al's passing and wish to extend our condolences. We remember Al fondly from the curling rink where we were treated to #7 - the carrying of the plastic glass on his head as well as the #1 - twinkle in his eye when he was kidding around as he was so famous for. He will be missed dearly! Larry and Bev Kreklewich

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Al. I have so many fond memories of him while growing up. He always liked playing jokes on us kids. One memory that comes to mind is the trick he played on me with the "Easter Bunny" and the chocolate egg. He sure had me convinced you had the real Easter Bunny at your house! I also appreciated the time he took to come and see my daughter figure skate at the rink a few years ago when we were in Melville. He will be greatly missed but I know that he will be greeted by so many loved ones that have passed before him including my mom Earla. Sending love and prayers to all the Miller family during this difficult time. We wish we could have been there with you today. Love, Ben, Laura, Conan, Nolan, Kendra and Jocelyn

I am so sorry to hear about Uncle Al. He always always had a smile on his face. When I was young, I loved visiting you guys in that big house of yours. Uncle Al never failed to tease me and make me laugh. Sometimes he actually played ‘house' with us. He was such a nice Uncle! Now that him and my Dad are together, I'm sure they will enjoy some great golf games and hopefully Uncle Al won't beat him too bad in crib. Two of my Dad's favourite games. My condolences to you guys. Love you!

A friend for many for so many years. His passing brings sorrow and we extend our prayers to his wife Mary and to the families he loved so dearly. His life brought much happiness to those countless friends he had and worked with. Melville was special to Al and his continued support of the city in many ways made a difference because of his efforts. His wonderful sense of humor delighted everybody. A special person, a special friend has left us. But those memories will live on. Linus & Ellen Westberg and families Red Deer Alberta
