Obituary of Lois Rebecca Mary Baer

A private graveside service will be held for the Late Lois Baer of Melville, beloved wife of the Late John Baer, on Saturday, August 28, 2021 with Father John Mock officiating. Lois Baer passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021, she was 80 years of age. Lois was born on February 3, 1941 at Bredenbury, Saskatchewan, a daughter to Stanley and Ellen (nee Yong) Vickers. Lois attended Clumber School in the Bredenbury district. In 1956 Lois and the family moved to Kimberley, BC and the following spring moved to Melville. On July 3, 1969 Lois married John Baer. The couple made their home in Grayson as well continued to farm John's land from town. Lois worked as a home-care worker for her sister-in-law Betty and also baby-sat for a Grayson couple. Lois accompanied John at many functions when he played saxophone for the Harmony Stars Band, Melville Rhythmaires and Country Sunshine band. Wherever you saw John you knew that Lois was close by, this couple was inseparable. Lois and John never had any children, but had the privilege of knowing a lot of people. Lois and John moved to Melville in March 2016. John passed away on September 20, 2019 and Lois moved into St. Paul Lutheran Home where she resided until entering her eternal rest on Monday, August 23, 2021 at the age of 80 years. Lois was predeceased by her parents; brother William and her beloved husband John. She will be remembered by many friends. Service Details.
