Obituary of Annie Muderewich
On July 23, 1950, she married Peter Muderewich and they settled on the farm, where Peter had been born, in the Goldbank district further north of Stenen. A few years later they purchased a farm close to her parent’s farm a few miles north of Stenen. During the many years there, she not only raised a family but also enjoyed having a large garden and assisting with many farm tasks as required. Besides helping with the animals, she had no problem hauling grain from the field to the bins during harvest. They resided there till they retired and moved to Yorkton in 1990. They continued to travel back to the farm to help out as needed.
After they retired, they travelled and camped at various lakes and recreational areas in the area to continue to enjoy what they had done when raising their family. They also just enjoyed driving around and looking at crops and scenery. They enjoyed traveling to dances in the Yorkton area and also visiting and playing cards with the many new friends they had in that area. They enjoyed several holiday trips to Disney World (Mom’s favorite trip), Cuba and Hawaii.
Annie enjoyed cooking and baking. One of her favorites was making doughnuts, which were always enjoyed by her family. She always enjoyed and looked forward to family coming to visit, particularly her grandsons. Throughout her life she enjoyed gardening and planting flowers which she continued with until she moved from her house.
After the passing of Peter in 2015, Annie continued to live at her house until at the age of 90, she moved into the Bentley Retirement Residence in Yorkton in 2020. She resided there until August 2024, when she moved to the St. Paul Lutheran Care Home in Melville.
