Gloria and I worked together at the Nursing Home. I was technically her supervisor, but I don’t think Gloria knew that, as she had no trouble telling me how to do things.
I loved her for that. She showed me how to dress, how to set a pretty table with goodies for farmers market, and coffee for the events she volunteered for at the Nursing Home. But mostly, she showed us all how to treat our seniors and others with kindness, respect and compassion. She set the bar high!
Gloria was so much more to me than a co-worker or volunteer, she was a special friend! We shared many laughs together. She was delightful, so full of life, and had so much yet to show and to teach us.
Gloria, I hope you set the bar high in heaven. Have everyone get all dressed up and look fabulous, just like you! I will miss you and love you forever. Love Karen Delong and the recreation staff at the Yorkton and District Nursing Home ❤️
