Diana was born on October 29th, 1957, the youngest child of seven, born to Joseph and Annie (nee Phillips) German in the Preeceville Hospital. She grew up and lived in Lady Lake, Saskatchewan, where she also attended the first couple years of school. She then went on to finish grades 3 - 10 in Sturgis, Saskatchewan.
In 1976, Diana married Dave Smalley and together they had three children: Craig, Jody and Jason. She loved her children very much and was very proud of them and all of their accomplishments.
In 1995 she married Alvin Cote who was the love of her life and although their marriage was cut short due to the sudden passing of Alvin in April of 1999, they spent countless hours together and cherished each other’s company very much and have now been reunited.
Diana has resided in Yorkton, Saskatchewan for the last 6 years where she enjoyed cooking, baking select items, making perogies and cabbage rolls, canning chicken, playing cards, dice or bingo. She was always lucky at bingo; some would say she had a horseshoe.
