Donald Arden Troff was born in Norquay, SK on March 8th, 1956. He grew up in Norquay and then moved to Hudson Bay to finish his schooling when 15, and has resided there ever since. After school he went on to work at MacMillan Bloedel Hudson Bay Division for a year then on to Alberta for another. In 1977 when he was returning to Hudson Bay, he was in a car accident, but with God’s will he came through.

Don’s life was through his music, lots of record hops, playing for weddings and other functions. His accident didn’t stop his love for music and continued playing for years to come. He had a great memory when it came to music and the artists that played them. Don was happiest when he could go uptown and buy lotto tickets and knickknacks for himself and his mom after playing a game of crib.

Don is survived by his mother Gloria, his brothers Bruce (Brenda) and Barry, nephew Rob, niece Rachelle, great niece’s Sophie and Rylee and great nephew Sawyer.

Don was predeceased by his father Tom and grandparents Alex and Pauly Trofimenkoff and John and Catherine Budolowski.
