It is with great sorrow we share the passing of June Elaine Berthelette (nee Conqergood).
June was an amazing person! Wife, friend, leader, organizer, partner, sister, daughter and the most wonderful Mother. June grew up in St. Adolphe Manitoba where she was a day scholar at the local school and she met her life long partner Rene. A love story for the ages June always said she married her Elvis. Before being transferred to Yorkton Saskatchewan through Rene’s job, they built their first house and had two children. Packing up and moving to Yorkton where Rene’s new carrier brought them into the Parkland Tire world of business. June was a bowler, a skater, a cook, and loved to dance. Often leading and encouraging the Terrier’s they got involved with, to party. Always the host June like to entertain and organize annual gatherings from golf tournaments to sausage day. Two more children and several moves around the City the family moved to Rokeby where they lived a country life. June never missed an event for the kids. She was always there for us no matter what. She gave us her patience and incredible ability to tolerate and love.
If in need June was there with a meal and a bed for anyone who needed. Kids often came home to a guest in their bed as some one needed it more than them.
June loved a good joke and loved to tell them. Not understanding the punch line was her charm! She loved most of all the babies. All the Grandchildren had a second home when they needed it with her. Nascar, Elvis, crib and card games, cooking and giving of herself and her time was truly June.
June’s careers complimented her life. Rene and the business were the main focus and after retail, real estate, small business called the Soap Box, while raising her kids she settled in the family business Parkland Tire as the Book Keeper/Mom till she retired.
She had several families such as the old-time terriers, her parkland tire family, her close friends and gal pals and was loved dearly by her Skinner Nursing Home family.
June leaves to mourn her passing her Daughter Donna and husband Clint Brothwell, her sons; Larry, Gordon and Roger Berthelette. Her nine Grandchildren, Matthew Fiegal and wife Brittany, Jordan, Blair, Shawn and partner Tiffany, Jessica, Michael, Tery-Lynn, Tyler and Maison. Also her great grandchildren, Brynn and Kalem Fiegal, Jaxson, Octavia, and Avaya. As well as Larry’s Wife Tracy and step children Jessica and Family and Dustin and family. Mourning her passing as well her Sister in Law Barb Conqergood and family. Her Sister in law Lorraine and Bill Ross and Sister in Law Shirley Berthelette and Neice Jennifer. Close cousins to the family Mark and Rhonda Wilton and family. June leaves many friends and other families she created along her life journey.
June is proceeded by her Mother Mae (nee Nesbitt), Father Torrence and Brother Russel Conquergood.
