Obituary of Jeff Mysko
The family of Jeffrey Mysko of Regina and formerly of Yorkton, son of the late Bill and Rose Mysko, father to Reis and Tori, sadly announce his passing on Monday, July 29, 2024. Jeff was 55 years of age.
Jeffrey Christian Paul Mysko was born April 28, 1969, in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, the youngest of six children. He attended elementary and high school in Yorkton and spent those years playing and excelling in a variety of sports, such as baseball, basketball, and football. After graduation he obtained a degree in Public Administration from the University of Saskatchewan, and took subsequent courses in Canadian Securities, Real Estate, HR training and Toastmasters. Jeff’s interests were varied, most notable, exploring new places through travel and a reverent appreciation for music, books, philosophy, and his favorite sports teams. His wit, charm and sense of humor were contagious and he enjoyed his social connections.
Jeff married Shelley Blyth from Shaunavon in 1993, and they were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Reis and Tori, born 1996 and 1998 respectively. He worked for Westfair Foods and Loblaws as a representative from 1994 until 2010, when he began to struggle with mental health and addiction. His addiction took its toll on his physical and mental health, and relationships, but he continued seeking sobriety. During those difficult years, he experienced success working at Fresh Air Experience in Regina as a sales clerk and established meaningful friendships.
Jeff was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Rose Mysko, and siblings Cynthia Mysko and Lorne Mysko. He leaves to mourn his daughters Reis Mysko and Tori Mysko, sisters Sharen Zeman, Geraldine Hippsley (Mitch), Laurie Meloche (Marty), and sister-in-law Bernadette Mysko, as well as many nieces and nephews.
