David Nicholas Osicki aged 78 years, entered his eternal rest suddenly on June 22, 2024 at St. Peter’s Hospital.
Dave was born March 11, 1946 in Melville to Nick and Mona (nee Novakowski) Osicki.
Dave grew up and lived in Melville his entire life. He received his education at St. Henry’s School. His first job was working at Mainline Taxi and then with the CNR until his retirement in 2001.
Dave was united in marriage to Brenda Schreiber in 1968 and were blessed with 2 daughters.
Dave was a hardworking, kind, caring and generous man who enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dave was considered a “Jack of all trades” to anyone who knew him. If you needed anything to be fixed or just an ear to listen, all you had to do was call and he would be there.
Over the years, he enjoyed many things, including hunting, fishing and camping. His two favorite things to do were tinkering in the back yard with his “Junk” (as he would call it) and attending the Minot State Fair every year.
Dave will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Brenda: his daughter, Michelle (Justin) and daughter, Crystal; his grandchildren: Steven, Adam (Liz), Nicole (Tyson), Brendan (Caitlin) and Tyler; his great-grandchildren: Aidah, Alexander, Aryia, Alyvia and Nash; twin brother, Don; sisters, Dorothy (Stan), Marie, Debbie (Jim), Suzanne (Perry); sister-in-law, Karen (Rick); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
