When I think of Rodney, I see the faces of Tommy Douglas, Dolly Parton, Jimmy Carter, folks, who live the life of being a Christian by living by example. Those who knew him knew his kindness.
That is Rodney, he never could say anything bad and was a friend no matter what and would always be willing to help with any chore. Its difficult to find folks like Rod any more.
I’ve known him since the early 70’s when we met in junior high,a highly intelligent guy with an approach to matters that certainly was different from most.
Rod stepped to the beat of a different drummer…
His taste of cutting edge culture took him to England for the emerging punk rock scene, and we all got immersed in the music scene at that time.It was exciting as no one around here heard of much of it,and I appreciated it all.
Oh so many laughs, genuine belly jiggling laughter and amazing conversation from a very intelligent and gentle man
I will miss you dearly my dear friend Rod.

Art,Ruth and all the family; My heart goes out to you at this very sad time. Rod was always up for a little chat when he was finished bathing my husband which for me was so welcome. The hardest thing life throws at us is losing loved ones, stay strong and lean on your family and friends to bring you some comfort. Hugs in friendship.
