Ted Kereliuk of Yorkton, beloved husband of the late Lena Kereliuk, sadly announces his passing on May 10, 2024. Ted was born in the Mullock area, which was approximately 4 miles north and 3 miles east of Rhein on August 2, 1931 to parents Wasyl and Magdelena (nee Ostapowich). He attended Kitzma School from grade one to grade nine. While he was attending school, Ted and a friend had a little band where they entertained for small occasions. They travelled from place to place with a Case tractor.

Ted moved to Yorkton to work as a book keeper at Hartmier Construction, Pachal’s Beverages, Weber’s Homes Ltd. and finally Melrose Place where he retired at the age of 88 years.

Ted met Lena Dubinsky at the Boston Café where she was a waitress. They married on July 21, 1955. Together they enjoyed going to hockey and baseball games. They enjoyed travelling to Disney World with the family. Their first flight caused a bit of excitement as the plane dropped and they didn’t know if they would land. They were given free champagne when the pilot had the plane under control. That was their first and last flight! Ted and Lena enjoyed camping in the Black Hills and Clear Lake as well as a trip to Vancouver.

On Ted’s 92nd birthday he had a party at the Nursing Home with music and dancing. All the people were served birthday cake and beverages. He loved listening to music and dancing and enjoyed the weekly entertainment at the Nursing Home.

Ted is predeceased by his wife Lena, his son Tim and his parents Wasyl and Magdelena. Ted leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter Terry Kereliuk; his daughter Wendy (Garry) Liebrecht and their children Kelsey (Derek) Little, Scotty Liebrecht and Stacey (Mike) Guay; his son Wayne (Cathy) Kereliuk and their children Sara Kereliuk, Shayla (Josh) Dutkiewicz and Shalissa Kereliuk; Tim’s children, Tanner Stebnitsky, Trista (Devin) Ford and Taylor Kereliuk; his brother Henry (Florence) Kereliuk and his daughter in law Tammy Kereliuk as well as his 10 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. Ted will be greatly missed.
