Obituary of Debra Kim Boychuk
Debra Kim Boychuk beloved wife of Richard passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Yorkton Regional Health Center on April 1, 2024. Born March 9, 1960 in Swan River, MB to Donald Ouart and Pearl Ouart (nee Onchulenko). At the age of one, the family moved to Yorkton. She attended Fairview School, Composite Junior High School and the Yorkton Regional High School where she met her high school sweetheart Richard Boychuk. Deb and Richard were married on June 5th, 1982 at the Westview United Church in Yorkton. A few years later they welcomed their daughter Kelly.
Deb talked fondly of her job at Safeway where many lifelong friendships were built. She also enjoyed visiting with customers at the Loaf N Jug. She did administrative work in Real Estate and at Hallmark over the years. Her real passion was her family, she enjoyed many weekends out at the family cabin at Madge Lake, and more recently she spoiled her great nieces and nephews. At home she enjoyed gardening, cleaning, and she cherished Sunday family dinners. Deb also had a love for animals, especially dogs.
Debra was predeceased by her father Donald, her mother in-law Olga Boychuk, brother in-laws Ronald and Russell Boychuk and numerous other family members. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving husband Richard; daughter Kelly (Nathan) Bryksa; mother Pearl Ouart, brother Brad (Linda) Ouart; sister-in-laws Sharon (David) Uhryn, Wendy Boychuk and Kathy Boychuk; as well as many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and dear friends.
The Memorial Service was held on Saturday, April 6, 2024 from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Doreen Day, Certified Celebrant officiating. Words of remembrance were shared by Pam Ouart - McNabb and Tyler Ouart. A private family inurnment followed in the Trinity Columbarium, Yorkton Memorial Gardens with Kelly Bryksa serving as urn bearer.
Memorial donations may be made to the Kinsmen Foundation as gifts of remembrance.
