Dennis Peepeetch

Obituary of Dennis Peepeetch

PEEPEETCH - Dennis Dean Peepeetch was born on January 25, 1974, in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. Throughout his life, Dennis grew up on Little Bone First Nation, Yorkton, and later on Moose Jaw.  Growing up Dennis was a vivacious, bright, inquisitive, and mischievous little boy.  He loved nothing more than to go skidooing with his dad or out for a ride on his motorcycle.

Dennis was a very athletic young man and he was lightning quick.  He was a long-distance runner and he loved to compete in track and field meets.  He could often be found running laps wherever he was to improve his time. Dennis attended school at St Mary’s, Yorkdale in Yorkton, and Prince Arthur in Moose Jaw.

Dennis would later meet the love of his life and the mother of his children Angie Bella. Dennis’ world was transformed as he fell in love and began his family. Being a father and partner became Dennis’ sole purpose for being. He loved nothing more than seeing joy on Angie’s and his children’s faces.

Dennis was friendly, and gregarious in nature. Throughout his life Dennis worked in a variety of fields from Heavy Machinery Operation to customer service. His light hearted demeanour positively impacted his friends and coworkers alike.

Dennis was a huge sports fan in general, but he held the Edmonton Oilers particularly close to his heart. He was also an avid Saskatchewan Roughrider fan as well as a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Dennis became a grandpa for the very first time with the arrival of Alexas.  From that day forward Dennis’ world revolved on his grand children and their happiness. He would have a legacy of nine grandchildren to pass his vast knowledge down to.  Dennis loved to spend time with families particularly around the holidays.  Sharing laughter and good times were when Dennis was at his happiest.

He was an avid and voracious reader. He loved nothing more than to learn about new places and the inhabitants that lived there. He was a wealth of information in this regard because once he became interested in something he would do meticulous research until he knew everything there was to know about the subject. He was a very well-spoken man and he had an incredible smile that could light up a room.  The world is going to be a little less bright without him on earth. Dennis always wanted everyone to get along.  To love deeply and to be loved in return. Dennis was our peacemaker.

Dennis is predeceased by: Grandma Stella Wapemoose, grandma Rose Alma Peepeetch.  Grandpa Louie Wapemoose, and Alfred Bigsky.  Aunties Vivian, Velma, Stella, and Melinda.
