Obituary of Delores Roebuck
Delores enjoyed cooking and baking and she made the best sour cabbage rolls. She loved feeding people and you would never leave her house hungry. Delores loved being on the farm especially during harvest time. That was absolutely her favourite time of year. Delores and Joe enjoyed camping and travelling. Their travels took them to many sunny destinations such as Mexico, Florida, California, Hawaii, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic and Cuba. Delores loved her family to pieces. Family was everything to her and she would do anything for her family. She also loved the many pets she had over the years. Her house always had dogs and cats in it. She loved her pets so much that when she moved from the acreage she made sure she found a house where she could take her dog Toby.
Delores was very social. She cherished the time she spent with her sister Amy and they would often spend time shopping and having coffee in Yorkton. They were inseparable. She also enjoyed being part of a Beta group and an aqua size group for many years. She loved to chat on the phone or meet her friends for coffee. She will be remembered for her generosity, her big heart and her feistiness.
Delores will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Joe Roebuck, parents George and Katherine Graval, her mother and father-in-law Alec and Jessie Roebuck, sister-in laws Irene Roebuck, Ivy Roebuck, Caroline Gerla, and Eunice Cherney and brother-in-laws Steve Dareichuk, Victor Roebuck, Peter Roebuck, William Gerla and Allan Cherney. She will be sadly missed, but always cherished by her son Shayne (Shantelle), daughers Shannon (Brent) and Tracey (Scott), her four grandchildren Brooklynn, Lexie, Alina and Dexter and by her sister Amy Dareichuk, nephew Kevin Dareichuk and her dog Toby.
The Funeral Service was held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Rev. Karen Kuzek officiating. Kevin Dareichuk shared words of remembrance. The interment followed in the Garden of Crucifixion with Dexter Roebuck, Dennis Skiehar, Shayne Roebuck, Brooklyn Mireau, Brent Mireau and Bruce Davis serving as casket bearers.
Memorials in memory of Delores may be made to the SPCA or Crohns & Colitis Canada as gifts of remembrance.
