Mary Ann Stephanie Sebulski passed away December 17, 2023 at the age of 71 years old. Mary Ann was born July 12, 1952 in the Yorkton Regional Hospital to Mary (Bohush) and Andrew Sebulski. Growing up she attended schools: Fosti, Sheho and Foam Lake Composite High. Mary Ann worked for her father Andrew at the family-run Massey Ferguson dealership. Shortly after she started her farming career by buying land, hauling grain and fertilizer, and running for parts. She also worked at Massey in Yorkton, then Acklands Grainer, and in her later years in life she sold monuments. Mary Ann was an active member of her community; she was on the Sheho Rec Board, the Sheho & District Community Centre, the I.O.D.E., the St Nicholas cemetery treasurer, and was involved in the Sheho Legion for 40 years. Many interests Mary Ann had were ceramics, traveling, cooking, baking, photography, curling, and softball. She traveled many parts of the world such as Hawaii, Mexico, Israel, Florida and went on cruises. She was always on the move and loved being on the open road.
She truly loved her Ukrainian roots and kept up traditions. For Easter she decorated Ukrainian Easter eggs and every year for Ukrainian Christmas she went caroling. She made amazing Ukrainian meals, her sour cabbage rolls being the family favorite.
Mary Ann was a much loved daughter, sister, niece, godmother, aunt and friend. She adored having her family around. Right from a child, she loved taking care of her brother Andy whom she renamed “Rick” after watching I Love Lucy. She was a caregiver to her parents in their later years. She was a godmother many times over and enjoyed having them all, known by some as Matka Mary Ann. She had a lot of love to share, always made sure people felt loved and special.
Mary Ann was predeceased by parents Andrew and Mary (Bohush) Sebulski. Survived by brother Andy “Rick” (Diane) Sebulski, Niece Andrea (Nathan) Gilborn and children Maverick, Kingsley and Aria, nephew Adam Sebulski (Hannah), niece Dana Sebulski (Chris), and loving sista Evelyn L’Heureux, uncle Emil Sebulski and aunt Nellie Storzuk, and life long friends Karen, Irvin Laird and family. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
