Obituary of Donald William Teniuk
It is with sadness the family of Don Teniuk (husband of Judy Teniuk) announce he passed away peacefully on December 10, 2023 at the age of 77.
Donald William Teniuk was born on January 14, 1946 at Fort William, Ontario. He spent most of his youth in Terrace Bay and Thunder Bay.
After high school, Don joined the Royal Canadian Air Force which eventually led him to White Spruce which was located just outside of Yorkton. This is where Don would meet Judy Koroluk and in 1969 they would marry and reside in the area. This career would take them to several locations including Moosonee, Ontario. They would eventually move back to Saskatchewan where Don worked at various jobs including Morris Rod Weeder and the City of Yorkton.
Don and Judy welcome their sons Jason in 1972 and Cory in 1976.
Don retired in 2018 after working for 35 years at the City of Yorkton Water / Waste Water Treatment Plant.
Don enjoyed summers at the lake at their seasonal lot near Good Spirit Provincial Park. He was especially happy when his boys and their families came out to the lake for visits during the summer. He was very proud of his sons and grandsons and always happy to talk about what was going on in their lives. Don enjoyed weekly coffee dates at McDonalds with friends and family, doing word searches, watching TV and spending time outside. He travelled back to Ontario twice in the last few years to visit family.
In October of 2021, Don was diagnosed with Leukemia, he fought hard but in the end it was a battle he could not win. He is now at peace.
Don was predeceased by his mother Mary Teniuk and step father John Teniuk, his in-laws Mike Koroluk and Nellie Koroluk and his Uncle Peter Black.
Don is survived by his wife Judy of 54 years; son Jason and grandsons Rhyse and Rylan; son Cory (Bonnie), grandsons Jordan and Austin; Brother Roy (Karen) Teniuk, nephew Jerry (Lindsay) Teniuk, niece Brittany (Rylan) Henley, Nephew Drew (Stephanie) Teniuk; brother in law Jerry (Louise) Koroluk; brother in law Adrian (Carleen) Koroluk; brother in law Brad (Rhonda) Koroluk; sister in law Candace (Derryl) Tendler and numerous nephews, nieces and friends.
