Obituary of Larry Ronald Lucky
Larry Ronald Lucky was born on July 22, 1955 in Toronto, Ontario to Gerald and Evelyn Lucky. He was raised in Burlington, Ontario on 1215 Homewood Dr. with his older sister Gloria. Larry attended school in Burlington. While visiting his sister in Saskatchewan, Larry found a piece of paradise and made the move from Homewood to Homefield. Larry found love and brought Alice to Homefield to start a family. They were married in November 24th 1979. Their paradise grew as 4 years later a little girl, Tanya was born. Then 2 years after a boy, Terry to complete the package.
Larry started Lucky’s Garage out of Homefield. Then worked for John Deere as a Service technician. Moving his way up from foreman to Service manager. He retired in July 2020 in hopes of spending time with family and completing projects.
Larry had plenty of interests, most of which he passed down to his family. His love of cars, love of music and love of laughter. As the family expanded with grandchildren, Larry’s paradise grew even bigger. Gatherings of family and friends were always ways to make memories. Inside jokes and ribbing were always abundant with Larry.
In July of 2020, Larry was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. The disease changed many things but never waivered his passions. Larry found joy in visiting and rarely forgot a face. Larry passed November 13th, 2023, surrounded by loved ones.
Larry leaves behind his wife Alice; daughter Tanya (Shawn) Riabko their children Hunter and Aurora; son Terry (Amanda) Lucky their children, Parker and Charlotte, among many other in-laws, nieces, nephews near and far. Larry was predeceased by his parents and sister.
