Obituary of Lillian Krywulak
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Lillian Krywulak of Ituna on November 10, 2023.
Lillian was born March 5, 1930 to parents Metro and Lena Sawiuk in the Fitzmaurice district, southwest of Theodore - the youngest of ten. Mom had many fond memories of spending time with her siblings, walking to school and being the youngest, was the caregiver to her brother Bill in his later years.
Mom and Dad married in 1948 and from this union, were four children, Liz, Sandra, Adeline and Rick. Dad passed away in 1990 and Adeline passed away in 2016,
Lillian, also called Lily, Honey Money and Маленька was a dynamic, high-energy woman with a heart of gold who loved to laugh and who lived her life fully. A long-time resident of Ituna, she was frequently seen at bingo, playing cards, and at the church hall making perogies and cabbage rolls. Living across from the skating rink, she volunteered her time as treasurer for many years.
As the mother of four and grandmother of six, fond memories will always remain of coming home to warm bread and buns out of the oven, home made soup, roasters of cabbage rolls and fresh perogies, and pickles and preserves lovingly packed. Mom was a generous woman who readily shared her time, knowledge and her culinary skills and recipes.
Mom loved animals, in particular her cat Louie. She loved to garden and was known to plant enough to give away. She loved the sound of birds singing, the cool morning and would be out at dawn lovingly attending to her plants.
Mom’s presence will be felt in the sun’s rays, the gentle rain and the sound of birds singing by her son Rick, her daughters Liz (Barry) and Sandra (Glen), her grand children Sheri (Colin), Jamie, Layla (Matt), Craig (Lindsay), Amber (Craig) and Michael (Sarah), her eleven great grand children Parker, Mackenna, Kyle, Mikayla, BJ, Lexi, Alek, Jakob, Brock, Zac, Colt and Adeline’s husband Morris.
Rest in peace Mom, we love you.
