I have recently learned of Kevin’s passing …… I first met Kevin in high school and we became fast friends as we shared several common interests …..after high school we were co workers for the city of Yorkton…….Kevin was a constant part of my life throughout the 1980’s and early 90’s ……unfortunately we lost contact with each other when we moved away from Yorkton ….. I have many fond memories of my time with Kevin……I remember him as a kind, caring person who was always willing to lend a helping hand…..Kevin had a booming laugh and a terrific sense of humor ( at least he laughed at all the dumb stuff I did and said
) …… I feel grateful and blessed to have known Kevin …..May he rest in eternal peace

Hello everyone - I am so sorry he's gone, and am still in shock because Kevin and I were almost the same age. I sort of thought he'd always be around. Kevin became my friend a long time ago in Saskatoon during our first years of university and college, and while we had not talked in many years, he was always in my heart. Kevin was a fiery champion of underdogs everywhere, who loved his motorcycle way back when, sky diving, and a good debate. He definitely had an opinion about things and shared his with anyone who was willing to listen. I attended his dad Al's funeral long ago, in support of my friend and also found out about his sister Cindy's untimely death in a heartbreaking way.
What we all need to remember is we need love, encouragement and support. Even when we disagree with each other. My hope is that those of you who remain will keep him in your hearts, and use the lessons we've all learned from him - about loss, heartache and unfulfilled wishes - to do good works in your lives. I know I will.
I bought a grove of five trees for Kevin and his immediate family members - his mom and dad, Cindy (Cynthia), and Darren. Since Kevin spent time planting trees in his young adulthood, I know he would love trees to be planted for him.
Love to all of you - Rhonda (Sniezek) Thiemann
