I just today found out about Nestor's passing. I am so sorry that I didn't make it to the Prayers or funeral. Nestor was a high school classmate of my Mother, Jeanette Haberstock, (who passed away on July 31 of this year) and my Dad, Elmer. He and his brother, Bill introduced us to USANA supplements. This is how I met your dear Dad and Mom. Especially over the last few years we have had some great visits. I loved sitting at his kitchen table and he would tell me all sorts of stories. He told me about his cancer treatments - he had such respect for the doctors that were treating him. He said he was a bit like a guinea pig with all the treatments but he was so happy and proud that they could use what they learned with him to treat others. He loved talking about you, Nick and your work and would explain things in great detail as you had told him. I loved hearing his stories about the being in the military reserves and the trips he had taken. He was so proud of each of you, his children. I am very sad and will dearly miss him and our visits. The last time I called, which was the beginning of September, I asked him if he was up for a visit and he said, "No, he was feeling sick." :-( May God grant each of you peace as you mourn. I know he had a strong faith and is reunited with your Mom (and my parents as well) in heaven in the presence of Jesus. God bless you all. - Michelle Dzuba

This is a memorial gift for Nestor Ohochinsky of Yorkton. We loved this man and his late wife, Rita, who were exemplary parents and grandparents (along with us) of our granddaughter, Octavia Ohochinsky. We enjoyed many sweet moments with them over the years only wishing we could have had more. Nestor’s rich stories of gardening made us all wish for good, crop-hearty weather for Greater Yorkton. He was a natural story teller and was so comfortable sharing tales of his early life when times were harder. Nestor had the proverbial twinkle in his eye as he shared vignettes from those times. We were honored that our kids’ wedding brought us to know each other and to enjoin them as family. He was such a good and kind man, ever mindful of the church and respectful of others - the kind of man the world needs more of! God bless Nestor’s soul and bless his family who must continue life’s journey without him at their side.

I’m sorry to hear of Nestor’s passing. He was a patient of mine at Yorkton Hearing Services before I sold. We always looked forward to Nestor’s visits. He spoke so highly of his dear wife and missed her so. Sending heartfelt condolences to to the family. He was a sweet and genuine soul.
