We are very saddened by Willie’s passing. His goodness spread all over Norquay with the smell of his bread baking every morning. His contribution to every event with fresh buns and bread for sandwiches will never be forgotten. He was there in his baking for every celebration and funeral and memorable event. I only wish we could have shown him how important he was to Norquay. He will be forever remembered with love.

Dear Isabel,Sherilyn,Cindy and Dean,
I was so saddened by the news of Willie’s passing. This brought so many memories to my mind. I especially remember his encouragement and joy in watching the two of us rehashing our youthful antics and pranks for hours.
He was such a warm and genuine person who was totally devoted to his family and community.
Isabel, dear friend, take heart in your close family and great memories.
Love,
Joan Braaten (Joanie Cherewyk)

Our deepest sympathies to Isabel, Sherilyn, Cindy and Dean on Willie’s passing.
I and many others have yet to find bread, longjohns and bismarcks as delicious as Willie’s.
It was a sad day in our community when the bakery doors were closed. To this day it is missed in Norquay.
May your family find comfort in your memories and in knowing how the Norquay community mourns with you.

Condolences to the family. My favorite memories of Norquay are topped by the many visits to the bakery … walking out with delicious treats and the comforts of the caring shown by Willy and family. My mom’s last wish was to have longjohns served to family and friends. These memories are very special.

We are so sorry to hear of Willie’s passing. He always had a smile on his face. Such a nice man & fantastic baker! Loved the bismarks & long johns! Many high school lunch times were spent walking up town to the bakery for long johns! After moving away from Norquay and coming home on the weekends a visit to the bakery was a must. Our thoughts & prayers are with you Isabel & your family.

A kind and gentle spirit, Willie always had a smile.
His made from scratch baking so rare, now, in modern in-store bakeries. The wonderful aroma of fresh baking in town, the baking that was
a part of many community and family functions, a quick treat at school noon break! The dedication of Willie to his craft was a gift to community! Eternal memory. Deb and Len Grywacheski

Our deepest sympathy to the Krizmanic family. Willie was a hard working, kind, caring man. The hours he put in the bakery providing for his family and supplying our community with the best bread, buns and baking are a testament to his character. There were so many times he donated to community events.
And who could resist the smell of fresh longjohns always ready by noon hour. Thank you for the difference you made in our community

Willie the baker was an absolute gentle man. His smile and welcome in the bakery made going there a much bigger, better experience than just buying the bread and goodies he produced. May his memory be eternal. Peace and comfort to the family.
