Obituary of Blanche Cecile Betts
Blanche was born February 3, 1922 in Montreal, Quebec to Louis & Leontine Parent (nee Roberge). She was predeceased by her parents, Louis and Leontine Parent, her brother Andre and her son Robert Betts. Her memory will be cherished by her children, Louise (Jim) Morrison, David (Nancy) and Gisele Betts; her sister-in-law Pat Parent; her six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren and her nieces & nephews. The family wishes to thank Colleen, Tracey and the staff of Gladstone Seniors Residence for the excellent care provided to Mom over the years.
The Funeral Mass was held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 from St. Gerard’s Roman Catholic Church with Father Louis Nguyen presiding. Louise Morrison gave the eulogy. The cross bearer was Marc Morrison. The readings were given by Dawn Bartel and Christopher Olinyuk. The gift bearers were Jeff Betts, Jan Morrison and David Betts. Diana Hornung led the St. Gerard’s Choir and the congregation in the hymns, “Precious Lord Take My Hand”, How Great Thou Art”, “Hail Mary”, Rest In Peace” and “Amazing Grace”. The urn bearer was Louise Morrison. The interment took place in Prince Albert Memorial Gardens.
