Obituary of Joseph Lesinszki
Joseph Lesinszki was born on October 3, 1922 in Yolac, Hungary; the second child born to Joseph and Anne (nee Toth) Lesinszki. In 1931 the family immigrated to Canada to join Joe Lesinszki Sr. who had started farming in the Eden district in the Saltcoats area. He attended Eden School, finishing grade eight, and then assisted his father on the family farm. On April 30, 1949 Joe was united in marriage with Alma Liepert. Joe would learn his love of farming from his father and together Joe and Alma would remain farming for another 58 years. Life was difficult in the early years, with a lot of hard work required to clear land, care for livestock and raise four small children, but together they worked hard and enjoyed their life on the farm. Some of Joe's other interests were auction sales, coffee row with friends and neighbors and fishing with his sons and grandsons. Joe was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Anne; daughter Margaret; sisters: Anne (Tony) Levak, and Irene (Ben) Liepert. He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory his loving wife of 58 years, Alma; daughter Linda Novick of Saskatoon and her son Michael and daughter Michelle; son Allan (Maureen) Lesinszki of Calgary and their son Brent and daughter Megan; and son Les of Yorkton; as well as numerous other relatives, friends and neighbors.
