Obituary of Mike Boczulak

Mike Boczulak was born on February 4, 1936 to Onufry and Annie (nee Kachabulski) Boczulak in the Jasmin district of Saskatchewan. He grew up on the family farm north of Kelliher and attended New Haven and Kelliher Schools. Mike married Mathilda "Tillie" Shenher on September 30, 1957. Mike and Tillie moved to Moose Jaw where Mike started his career with the Department of Highways until he transferred to Leross in 1972. Upon moving back to Kelliher Mike took over the family farm. Mike retired from the Department of Highways in 1987. He continued to farm as well was being involved in many endeavours, the latest being the pest control officer for many area municipalities. Mike continued to be very active with community involvement, his cattle, farming and most importantly with his family and friends right up until his sudden passing on January 24, 2008 at his home in Kelliher at the age of seventy-one. Predeceased by his parents, Onufry and Annie; his wife of forty-five years, Tillie; mother and father-in- law Henry and Anna Shenher; brother-in-law, Walter Tornberg; nephews, Wade Tornberg, Gregory Folk and Mike John. Mike leaves to cherish his memory his five children and twelve grandchildren: Vince (Debra) of Regina, SK, Steve (Harue) Boczulak, Hannah and Cole of Penticton, BC, Donna (Ian) Otte, Kenton, Jacob and Emily of Penzance, SK, Doug (Meeta) Boczulak, Sara, Stacy, Sindy and Sean of Regina, SK and Judy (Ivan) Prayda, Kayleigh, Kirsten and Kendall of Ituna, SK; one sister, Nettie (Carl) Folk of Regina; sister-in-law, Mary Tornberg of Strathmore, AB; brothers-in-law, Peter (Joan) Shenher of Viceroy, SK and Henry (Bernadette) Shener of Moose Jaw, SK as well as many relatives and friends.
