Obituary of Wayne Wessing
WESSING - Wayne Wessing, resident of the Jedburgh-Parkerview district, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 8, 2008. He was 49 years of age. Wayne Joseph Wessing was born on November 26, 1958 at Yorkton, Saskatchewan; a son of Joe and Frances (nee Young) Wessing of Parkerview. Wayne grew up on the family farm at Parkerview except for two years that he lived in Yorkton. Farming was Wayne's life. He worked closely with his father Joe and was taught many things about the land and livestock. Wayne really enjoyed being around his animals. When he hollered they knew to move where he wanted them to go. Wayne also learned to become an excellent mechanic, he loved to fix things and no job was too big or small. He was a good help to the neighbors, if something needed fixing, Wayne would drop whatever he was doing and come help. In his spare time Wayne could be found in the garage fixing something. Wayne was also a councillor for the RM of Garry for 10 years. He was predeceased by his father Joe in August of 2000; and by his brother-in-law, Ray Senga in May of 2004. Wayne leaves to cherish his memory his mother Frances of Parkerview; his sister, Isabel Senga of Yorkton; nephew, David Senga, and neice Sandra (Justin) Senga of Saskatoon; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. The funeral service was held on Thursday, June 12, 2008 from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Rev. Jane Jupe of St. Paul's United Church in Theodore officiating. Organist, Arlene Fenske led members of the congregation in the singing of the hymn Abide With Me. Niece, Sandra Senga gave the eulogy. The interment followed in the Theodore Cemetery with Sheldon Moldowan, Willie Zuchkan, Gerald Farkas, Jim Young, Lee Young and Benny Meszaros serving as the casketbearers.
