Obituary of Christine Zabinski
Zabinski - Mrs. Christine Zabinski, formerly of the Wrozton district passed away at her residence in Roblin on July 30, 2008. She was 82 years of age. Christine was born March 8th, 1926 in the Calder-MacNutt District. After the sudden death of her mother, different families of the area cared for Christine. Eventually she lived with and worked for the Zabinski family near Wroxton, Saskatchewan. It was during this time that she met her husband Michael and they were married on November 9th, 1942. Christine and her husband lived and continued farming in the Wroxton District. Later Christine took a job working at the Yorkton Co-op, where she became manageress of the cafeteria. After her retirement from the Co-op, Christine and her husband continued farming at Wroxton. During the duration of their 44 years of married life, Christine and Michael were both zealous in the ministry as Jehovah's Witnesses. After her husband Michael died on February 9th, 1986; Christine continued to live on the farm and kept busy sharing the Bible's message with all. Christine sold and left the farm in 2002, and moved into an apartment at Roblin, Manitoba. Despite failing health, Christine continued in her Christian faith, and lived at her residence in Roblin until her death. [This is the family information shared by Christine, as of October 2002. One brother James Kozak of Calgary, Alberta (Deceased on June 3rd, 2008). Three sisters; Jean Johnson of Lake Bronson, Minn. U.S.A., Helen MacDonald of Kelowna, B.C.and Francis Wood of Parry Sound, Ontario. The Funeral Service was held on Saturday, August 2nd at Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Mr. John Anderson of the Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses officiating. The interment followed in the Garden of St. Mark at Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses officiating. The interment followed in the Garden of St. Mark at Yorkton Memorial Gardens with Gerald Bayn, Garry Delesoy, Mervin Dubnyk, Horatio Gnyp, Dave Horaska and Raymond Lacusta serving as the casket bearers. Funeral arrangements were in care of Bailey's Funeral Home. . Service Information
