Obituary of Bill Dareichuk
Bill W. Dareichuk was born April 17, 1926 in the Springside/Buchanan district to Wasyl and Katie (nee Tymoruski) the fifth child of seven. Bill attended school in the Northlake district and then moved to the Drobot area where he farmed with his dad. He soon took over the family farm. During that time th he met the girl next door, Rose Marchuk, who became the love of his life. On September 5 1954 they were married and were blessed with five children. Through their 55 years of marriage they endured many hardships but also had made many cherished memories. They resided on the farm until 1998 where they then moved into Theodore. Bill was very active and devoted to the church. He joined the church in 1955 and held the position of president of the St Nicholas Church (Drobot) for twenty years. He also was a trustee for the Chernovitz School. But his passion was farming. He enjoyed raising his cattle and seeding and harvesting using his John Deere Tractors. He loved telling stories of his younger days and had quite a sense of humor. Bill always kept busy but always made time for his family and friends. He loved to visit with his neighbors and was always there to give a helping hand. He was a proud dad and always made sure his kids were safe and taken care of. After a long struggle with Diabetes, sadly Bill passed away peacefully at the North Central Nursing Home in Yorkton on th November 4 at the age of 83. He will be greatly missed. Bill was predeceased by his parents Wasyl and Katie Dareichuk, brothers John and Nick, sister Mary and husband John Podhorski, and nephew Johnny Podhorski. Bill will always be loved and remembered by: Rose, loving wife of fifty-five years; son David (Judy), daughter Janet and her husband Don Dziaduck, son Bradley and his wife Ruth, daughter Lorraine and husband Kevin Stewart, son Mervin and his wife Rosie. Bill also leaves his siblings to cherish his memory: sister Lena and husband Henry Basiuk of Selkirk, MB, sister Anne and husband Paul Koshman of Theodore, brother Steve and wife Amy Dareichuk of Yorkton. He troubled no one, his wants were few And now, dear Lord, he has come to you. Take care of him as he takes his rest For the one you have taken was one of the best.
