I've planted many a kernel of wheat, Welcomed many a morning sun. I've eaten the dust and tasted the wind, And I've gotten many a good job done. I've climbed off the tractor with dirt on my face, And pain in my weary bones, But somehow, I always can muster a grin, When I see the lights of home. Where my family waits, and the love of my life, Sets a table that's fit for a king. With her smile, and a hug, and a coffee mug, I know I have everything. As I trudge once more through the field of my years, And separate chaff from the grain. I thank the good Lord, I can say in my heart That I'd do it all over again. Service Information
