McCLURE - On Friday, April 9, 2010 Sam McClure of Ituna beloved husband of Irene passed away peacefully at the Ituna Pioneer Lodge. He was 89 years of age. Sam is predeceased by his father and mother; sisters: Melvena, Nora, Evelyn; brother Joe and a step son -in - law Kelvin Korinetz. Sam is survived by his wife Irene; stepsons: Don, Brian (Elaine) Korinetz; step daughter - in - law Marylou Korinetz; step grandchildren: Geoff, Michelle, Robin, Ashley, Nicole and Kendra; step great grandchildren: Aiden and Reece along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday morning, April 15, 2010 from ST. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church Ituna, Sask. with Rev. Father J. Pat Murphy as Celebrant. Paulette Van der Helm was the Organist leading the Church Choir and Congregation in the Hymns: "Be Not Afraid", "The Strife Is O'er", "LIke A Shepherd" and "How Great Thou Art". The readers were Helen Howat and Rose Purcha with Rick Schaffer and Joe Garchinski as Altar Servers. The interment followed in the Ituna Roman Catholic Cemetery with: James Meikle, Don Korinetz, James Keisig, William Martin, Gary Hilliar and Trevor Knowles as Casket Bearers and Michelle Korintez serving as Cross Bearer. In memory of Sam memorial donations may be made to the Ituna Pioneer Lodge as gifts of remembrance.
