He always knew what to do, or build something for you, even before you knew you needed it. Willie loved spending time with his family. It was not unusual for him to pack up everyone and go for Sunday drives, visiting relatives, having picnics and picking mushrooms or berries in nearby woods. He took his family on many vacations and toured many spots in Canada, US, and Mexico. Later Willie and Mary became snowbirds and spent 13 winters at Apache Junction, Arizona. He was a proud, active member for 16 years of the Yorkton Elk's Lodge # 392. He held several honorary positions and is a Past Exalted Ruler. Willie was also a member of the Order of St. Andrews. Willie was very active going somewhere and doing something all the time with his friends and family. He loved building things and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, golfing, curling, gardening and of course ag-repping. He found humour with almost everything and loved to laugh.
