Obituary of Kay Misiurski
MISIURSKI - It is with a heavy heart we announce Kay Misiurski has left this world in the arms of angels to be with her loved ones who have entered eternal rest before her on Sunday, June 12, 2011. Kay was born on the family farm in the St. Joseph District near Ituna on October 15, 1920, a daughter of John and Mary (nee Grzebinski) Klimczak. On August 23, 1953 she was united in marriage to Joe Misiurski at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church. Together they farmed 5 miles West of Ituna and moved their home to Ituna to retire in 1974. They were blessed with two children Garry and Susan. Kay's most enjoyable times were those associated with hard work. She found gratification in farming, gardening, cooking and connecting with nature and current events. She found great comfort in prayer and attending Mass regularly with a strong Catholic faith .Many blankets and quilts were made for her children and grandchildren, items that will be precious and treasured keepsakes. Once retired, her grandchildren brought her great joy. Kay was predeceased by her parents, husband Joe of 46 years on September 30, 1999, her brothers Walter, Edmund, Stanley, Joe and Johnny & Peter, and a sister Julie. She leaves to celebrate her life her son Garry (Alice) of Colonsay and his 4 children: Beverly (Shane) Knapp of Regina and their children Cody and Brayden; Brenda; Holly (Chad) Hepp of Saskatoon and their children Max and Sarah; and Kevin (Annette) of Watson, Sask. Her daughter Susan Antonishyn of Ituna and her 4 children: Angela (Cory Charanduk) of Balgonie and their daughter Carys; Jolene (Chris Bolton) of Regina and their son Jagger; Kimberly (Trevor Blazaiko) of Saskatoon, and Shaun of Saskatoon. Also a sister, Helen Klimczak of Ituna, brother Frank (Marie) Klimczak of Salmon Arm BC, sisters-in-law: Victoria Klimczak and Wanda Klimczak, both of Ituna, and Joan Klimczak of Regina, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and her many other relatives and friends. Prayer services were held on Friday evening, June 17th from St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church in Ituna. Gail Klus was the Lay-Presider. The lay-reader was Angela Charanduk. Organist, Paulette van der Helm led members fo the Parish Choir and the congregation in the singing of the hymns 'Lord, Make Us Servants of Your Peace' and 'I Will Sweep Away Your Transgressions'. Daughter Susan gave a family tribute to Kay. The Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, June 18th with Rev. Father Pat Murphy as Celebrant. Hymns sung were 'Be Not Afraid', 'Amazing Grace', 'This Day in New Jerusalem', 'Here I Am Lord', and 'Immaculate Mary'. The lay-readers were Jolene Antonishyn & Beverly Knapp, Angela Charanduk the Intercessions, the gift- bearers were Holly Hepp & Brenda Misiurski, and Kimberly Antonishyn was the crossbearer. The interment took place in the Ituna RC Cemetery with Shaun Antonishyn, Kevin Misiurski, Cory Charanduk, Chris Bolton, Donald Klimczak and Shane Knapp serving as the casketbearers. Arrangements were in care of Bailey's Funeral Home. Service Information
