Obituary of Victoria Procyshen

Procyshen Victoria - It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, mother-in-law and baba, VICTORIA PROCYSHEN, on Monday, July 4th, 2011, at the Yorkton and District Nursing Home. Vicky, as she was known to everyone, was born February 11th, 1934, in the Gorlitz district of Saskatchewan, to Peter and Anna (Hywarren) Demchynski. She grew up in and around the Gorlitz district and was united in marriage to Metro (Matt) Procyshen in 1952, and were blessed with six children. Vicky gained full-time employment with Midwest Packers Ltd. in Yorkton, and was very influential in the recipe for Harvest Brand sausage. She was the only female butcher in the plant and after 33 years of dedicated service, Vicky retired at the age of 60. Never known to sit idle for long, she was always on the go with her garden, which fed several families in Gorlitz. Her perogie orders were never ending and her huge chocolate chiffons cakes were a
