Obituary of Rose Klus
Klus - Rose Olive Klus (nee Kolikowich), of Hubbard, Sask, entered her eternal rest at the age of 89 on Saturday, October 15, 2011, at the Regina General Hospital. Rose was born on May 22, 1922 in the district of Hubbard Saskatchewan as a daughter to Harry and Annie (nee Vegyra) Kolikowich. She attended Tarnoville Rural School, one mile west of the family farm, until she completed her grade 12. Later the family moved to Goodeve where Rose met Mike Klus. They were married on June 21, 1942 at St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, then moved to Regina where Rose operated a boarding home and established a professional seamstress business. In 1944 Rose and Mike returned to her family homestead where she remained until her passing. The funeral service was held, Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011 at Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church in Ituna with Rev. Fr. Boris Kyba officiating. Interment followed in Holy Cross Cemetary of Hubbard with Joshua Klus, Ken Green, Grant Antoni, Darcy Sylvester, Colton Sylvester, and Nicholas Sylvester serving as pallbearers. Honorary bearers were Tricia Sylvester, Farrah Antoni, Angela Klus, Isabella Sylvester, Lilly Antoni, Myla Klus and Hazel Klus. Rose was predeceased by her parentsHarry Kolikowich and Annie (nee Vegyra) Kolikowich; her husband Mike; sisters, Katherine, Anne, and Evelyn; brothers, Mike and John. Rose leaves to cherish her memory her children, Orlando(Laurel) Klus of Hubbard and Gloria (Ken) Green of Oxbow; grandchildren, Tricia (Darcy) Sylvester, Farrah (Grant) Antoni, and Joshua (Angela) Klus; great-grandchildren, Colton, Nicholas, and Isabella Sylvester; Lilly Antoni; Myla and Hazel Klus; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. Arrangements were by Bailey's Funeral Home, Melville Service Information
