Obituary of Martha Mosiondz

Martha (nee Krywulak) Mosiondz was born July 1, 1938 in the Foam Lake district to John and Katherine (nee Kowal) Krywulak. She received her education at the local country school near Foam Lake and was raised on the family farm with her other thirteen brothers and sisters. In 1959 Martha was united in marriage to Metro Mosiondz. Together they established a successful family farm in the Gorlitz area, and raised their three children. They operated the farm for over 37 years after which they retired and moved to Yorkton. Shortly after Metro’s passing in 2017, Martha moved to Regina to be closer to two of her three children, four grandchildren, and one great-grandson. While in Yorkton, Martha and Metro were faithful parishioners of St. Mary’s Parish and long time members of the Yorkton Retired Citizens Club. Her pastimes included gardening, bowling, casino visits, playing cards, and socializing with family and friends. Martha passed away peacefully on March 23, 2022, from complications from a recent stroke, surrounded by her children at her bedside. Martha was 83 years of age. Predeceased by her parents John and Katherine, her six brothers Bohdan, Walter, Mike, John, Joe, & William, and two sisters Mary and Mabel Chupik, Martha leaves to cherish her memory, her three children, Robert (Janelle) Mosiondz of Regina, Gaylene (Daren) Drummond of Regina, and Randy (Amy Skopik) Mosiondz of San Jose; four grandchildren, David Drummond, Matthew Drummond, Kyla (Luc) Fougere, and Ryan (Jensen Weinmeister) Mosiondz, and one great-grandson; Callum Fougere, all of Regina. Martha is also survived by her brother Terry (Louise) Krywulak, and four sisters; Natalie (Bill) McDonald, Kathlene Pidgurski, Carol Krywulak and Angeline (Greg) Ingram. Memorial donations in memory of Martha may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation (1738 Quebec Ave., Unit 26, Saskatoon, SK., S7K 1V9) or to the Canadian Diabetes Association (917A Albert St., Regina, SK., S4R 2P6) as gifts of remembrance.
