Obituary of Eva Rodych
RODYCH - Mrs. Eva Rodych of Ituna, beloved wife of William passed away peacefully at Ituna Pioneer Health Care Centre on November 8, 2012. She was 87 years of age. Eva was born at home on the family farm in the Beckenham district on September 15, 1925; a daughter of Nick and Mary (nee Dmyterko). Eva attended school at Runnymede. During her farming and Ituna days she took great pride in her flower garden and playing cards with her family and friends. In 1946 Eva met the love of her life Bill (William) Rodych. It was on June 16, 1946 that Eva and Bill were married on the Rodych family farm. While on the farm they were blessed with five children, 3 sons and 2 daughters. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband Bill (William), son Morris, children Vincent and Heather, great-grandchild Jayden, Shelley and Sheldon Tardiff, great-grandchildren Hayden & Tyler, Pine Falls, Manitoba; Son Victor and his wife June (Obuck), children Cory & Kendra, great-grandchildren Cole and Riley, Melissa and Curtis Meier, great-grandchildren Matthew, William and Samantha of Saskatoon, SK; Son Orest and his wife Bernie (Loroff), grandchildren Jason and Nicole of Saskatoon, SK; Daughter Bernadette and her husband Don Cole, grandchildren Christopher and Aaron of Sasktoon, SK; Daughter Cynthia Cale and her friend Doug Rutherford of Saskatoon, SK. She also leaves to cherish her memory sister Ann Chaikowsky of Ituna, sister-in-law Mary Krywulak of Saskatoon, SK., as well as many nieces, nephews and her many other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her parents Nick and Mary; brothers John and his wife Katie, Steve and his wife Mary, Matt and his wife Helen, Nick and his wife Victoria, Pete and his wife Ann, Fred and Alex; sister's Mabel Kaban, Mary Ewasienko and Rose Wowk; brother-in-law Stan Kaban, William Ewasienko, Stan Chaikowsky, Mike Wowk. Prayers were held on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church in Ituna. Requiem Divine Liturgy was held on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church with Very Rev. Father Boris Kyba, C.Ss.R. as the Celebrant. Responses were led by Wayne Boczulak and Ladmer Moskal. The cross bearer was Great Grandson, Matthew Meier and the epistle reader was Bernie Rodych. The interment followed in Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery with Eva's grandchildren, Chris Cole, Cory Rodych, Aaron Cole, Vince Rodych, Jason Rodych and Melissa Meier serving as the casket bearers.
