Obituary of Rose Marie Kirschman
KIRSCHMAN - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our wife, mother, granny, sister, aunt and auntie cookie. Rose Marie Kirschman was suddenly taken away from her family on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at home with her loving family by her side at the age of 52 years after a long and hard fought battle with diabetes, kidney failure, blindness and heart failure. Rose was born to Mathilda (Grobowsky) and Vernon Young on July 9th, 1960 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. Rose was a hard worker: she worked as a bingo worker/caller; Mighty Leathercraft Shop; Hired Hands; and as a caregiver and foster parent. Rose attended the Salvation Army Church, in her younger years and served the organization as a junior soldier. In 1994 she was united in marriage to William (Bill) Kirschman. This union was blessed with two daughters: Tanya & Leslie Dawn Beth. In 2005, with open arms and room in their hearts Rose & Bill adopted Ashley, Dionne & Tyler. The same year they accepted Tanya's boyfriend Tommy into their family. With still more room in their hearts they accepted Damara (Chantallie) Anderson and her daughter Summer. Rose & Bill had a farm near Melville where she had a garden. This is where you would find her when you went to visit. Rose loved animals, especially her dog Teddy. Wherever Rose was you could find Teddy. Rose was a very warm, loving, caring and giving person. She loved her music, movies and coffee row. Rose was a woman of many talents, including cooking, baking, knitting, crocheting, card games, planting flowers, harness horse racing, garage sales, a crowd goer at wrestling, and spending time on her lap top computer. Rose greatly enjoyed camping, quading and holidays with her family and friends. Rose's proudest times were spending time with her granddaughter Summer. Rose would play with her, sing songs, cuddle and teach her new things. She always had a smile on her face whenever Summer was over. Rose was predeceased by her father Vernon (October, 1991), mother Mathilda (November of 1993) sister Mary in infancy, brother Gordon (July 1986), sister Pearl (June 1995), brother Rodney (February 2007), brother Ralph (February 2010), sister Dorothy (September 2010), a grandson in infancy, as well as other family members in the past years. She leaves to cherish her memory and to celebrate her life her husband Bill; daughters Tanya (Tommy) of Yorkton, Leslie (Dawn Beth) & Ashley of Yorkton; sons Dionne & Tyler of Yorkton; Damara Chantallie Anderson of Regina; granddaughter Summer (Birdie) of Regina. Also her sisters: Frances (Hansey) Wessing of Parkerview, Phyllis (Ed) Zastrizny of Sheho, Hazel LeBlanc of Moose Jaw, and Rita (Norlon) Larson of Yorkton; brothers: Floyd (Lorraine) Young of Regina & Richard (Marilyn) Young of Regina; numerous nieces, nephews and her many other relatives and friends.
