Obituary of Elizabeth Dickie
The family of Elizabeth Dickie of Melville, sadly announce her passing on Tuesday, April 5. She was 82 years of age.
There will be no service at this time with the interment happening at a later date.
Betty Dickie passed away peacefully in Melville, SK on April 5th, 2022, just over a month before her 83rd birthday.
Betty was predeceased by her parents Freeman and Millicent Howsam, and her brother Manford Howsam. She is survived by her children Cheryl (Darrell) Stan, Jeff (Jen) Dickie and Marty (Kris) Dickie and her grandchildren Miranda Stan (Ryan Johnson), Bryce (Ashley) Stan, Braden (Ashley) Stan, Tegan Dickie, Kalan Dickie, Kassidy Dickie and her great-grandchildren Easton, Rowan, Colt, and Huck; sister Winnifred Rowe.
Betty was a teacher and raised three children. She was a farmer’s wife that had an active role in the daily operation. She enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, crocheting, needlepoint and reading. Her passion was sports, especially hockey and baseball, even until the day she passed. Her friends were important to her, and she socialized often. Her family thanks all her friends for their support and friendship she received.
A graveside service will be held at Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery. 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 10:00 am. Family and friends are invited to leave tributes at www.Regina funeral home.ca. Arrangements entrusted to Bailey's Funeral Home, Melville and Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850.
