Obituary of Brian Brooks
BROOKS - Brian David Brooks of Melville, Saskatchewan, husband of Loni Brooks was born on October 11, 1964 in Kamsack, Saskatchewan, to Cecil and Gladys (nee Alexander) Brooks. In the fall of 1964 the family moved to Melville. Brian attended St. Henry's School. After graduating high school he went on to successfully complete the EMT course in 1986. He also received diplomas for the Emergency Medical Dispatch Program and a certificate to instruct Infant Car Seat safety clients. Brian worked in the Health Care Profession for many years of his life. He was an Ambulance Attendant in Caryle and an EMT for the Melville Ambulance Association. He worked at St. Paul Lutheran Homefor a short time and then at St. Peter's Hospital. In 1988 Brian and Loni started seeing each other and in 1990 a very special event took place in Brian's Life. The birth of his beautiful daughter Alyssia whom he boasted was the FIRST GIRL in the Brooks family in 30 years. In 1999 Brian and Loni with the blessing of their children officially tied the knot. The ceremony was held after a 10-hour hike on foot in the mountains of BC at Munkman Lake. Brian and Loni raised 4 wonderful children who are the pride of their lives, Kimberely, Theresa, Cory and Alyssia. Predeceased by his mother Gladys. On the morning of August 24, 2013 Brian left to mourn his passing and cherish his life his wife Loni; his children, Kimberely (Vic) of Springside, Theresa of Melville, Cory of Saskatoon and Alyssia (Thomas) of Saskatoon; his 2 granddaughters, Chelsey lovingly known as Princess Lizzie and Caitlyn lovingly known as Lucy Two Boots (daughters of Theresa); his father, Cecil of Melville; brothers, Dennis (Cindy) of Swift Current, Larry (Linda) of Melville, Curtis (Wanda) of Melville and Vincent (Brenda) of Melville; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. Arrangements were by Bailey's Funeral Home
