Obituary of Leanne Nagy
NAGY - Leanne Nagy, beloved wife of Blair Nagy and mother to Jordan, from Melville passed away peacefully at St. Peter’s Hospital on Friday, February 3rd, 2023 after a brief battle from cancer.
She was 53 years of age. There will be NO service at this time with plans being made for a celebration of her life in the spring/summer of 2023.
Leanne was born to Vincent and Geraldine (Lee) Krippes on November 2, 1969. She grew up in Yorkton graduating from the Regional High School. She started her working career at the “Met” in Yorkton, she then continued on to be the manager of Bootleggers. She later went to work at the Bank of Montreal in Melville after Jordan started school making lifelong friendships with coworkers.
Leanne married the love of her life, Blair in 1993. Their first home was in Otthon, Saskatchewan. They then moved to take over the family farm where the city girl found her “happy” place in the country.
They were blessed with the arrival of Jordan on June 27, 1999. Together this family enjoyed so many adventures, including trips to Mexico, Dominican Republic, Cuba, British Columbia. Many special trips to North Dakota to visit Leanne’s cousin Barb and her family.
Very special memories were made at the Krippes family cabin from fishing, swimming, boating, entertaining and just relaxing. Not many summer weekends were missed unless farming interfered.
She took great pride in taking care of the yard and her BOYS. When they decided to go on a hunting, fishing or sledding trip, she was happy to stay at home and enjoy the peace.
She was an active member of the Willowbrook Wildlife club and helped with all their fundraisers.
Leanne will be dearly missed by her husband Blair of 29 years, son Jordan. Brothers: Kevin (Gill) Krippes from Cranbrook, British Columbia, Todd (Cheryl) Krippes, Yorkton; Sister-in-laws, Marilyn (Meryle) Beres, Correen Nagy-Malinoski; Brother-in-law, Wayne Nagy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly as well as many other family members.
She was predeceased by her parents Vincent and Geraldine (Lee) Krippes, Sister Lorilee Krippes, Niece Odette, as well as her father and Mother-in-law Louie and Violet Nagy and brother-in-law Ray Malinoski.
